Connecting With Teens About Money
Use the Internet for a lesson in thrift. A host of online price-comparison shopping sites, such as NexTag, are good ways to show kids how to compare prices, products and reviews. A recent search of "portable MP3 player" on NexTag, for instance, yielded more than 1,200 results, with prices ranging from $19 to $1,100 from a variety of merchants. Searching for the best deal is a good homework assignment for kids, says Rafael Ortiz, NexTag co-founder.

No lines online
NexTag pulls product information from about 3,000 merchants ... Our DVD player search brought back 1,459 matches.
[NexTag's] interface is clean and uncluttered. The site offers all the features that are becoming standard: user reviews
and an automatic price calculator that can tell you how much something will cost with tax and shipping. A price alert is
another nice feature. A "deals and coupons" section can save money, and the "recently viewed" link is handy.
Special feature: A price history graph for many products, so you can see if you're buying high or low.
