How do I sign out?
If you need to sign out, click on your My Account portfolio and choose the "Sign Out" link located in your Basic Account Information portfolio.
Why do I need to sign out?
There are several reasons why you may need to sign out. One common reason is that there may be several people (in your family or at your workplace) who use NexTag. For them to access their account at NexTag, you need to sign out so that they can sign in.
If you are using a public terminal, it is important for you to sign out in order to protect your privacy.
Finally, if you maintain separate business and personal accounts, you will need to sign out of one account to access the other.
Why do I have to be a U.S. resident to sign-up?
Membership in the NexTag Exchange Network is limited to U.S. shipping addresses because, regretfully, at this time most of the retailers on the Network are capable of shipping only within the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
FAQ: Buying
- Is this an auction?
- Is this free?
- What does the price history of a product tell me?
- Do I have to enter credit card information?
- Why is NexTag safe?
- Can I cancel an order?
Is this an auction?
NO, there are three key differences:
- With NexTag, you can get excellent deals on premier products sold by well-known retail stores or individual sellers and on previously owned or refurbished items.
- At NexTag, you do NOT have to wait for several days (as is typical in online auctions) for the auction to close. Here you can purchase an item any time you want.
- At NexTag, you can see prices from retailers, small stores, and individuals for the same product at the same time -- increasing your odds of getting a great deal -- even if you intend to buy from only one seller.
Is this free?
NexTag is completely free to buyers. There is no charge to sign up or purchase an item.
CPC Sellers are charged a fee based on the number of leads to their online stores. Existing Classifieds sellers are charged a small transaction fee based on the final price of each item, once sold. Sellers are not charged fees just for listing a product. Learn about the NexTag Exchange Network seller fee schedule.
What does the price history of a product tell me?
For certain types of products we provide you with price history information that you can use when formulating the bid you send to sellers. It provides you with the minimum and maximum price of a new product over the last several months.
Do I have to enter credit card information?
You don't need to enter credit card information to sign up at NexTag. You only need a credit card to sign up as an individual or independent seller.
Why is the NexTag Exchange Network safe?
It is very important to us that your privacy and billing information remain secure and in your control. The NexTag Exchange Network does not require credit card information unless you become a seller. NexTag also use secure server software using Verisign encryption technology to encrypt your credit card. Finally, NexTag does not reveal any personally identifiable information to sellers until you purchase from them. For more information on NexTag's privacy guidelines, please see the Privacy Policy.
Can I cancel an order?
On NexTag, when you agree to purchase or sell an item, you are morally obligated to follow through with that purchase or sale. NexTag reserves the right to revoke the privileges of buyers or sellers who back out of deals.
FAQ: Technical Problems
- Why do I have trouble using NexTag with my AOL browser?
- How can I get to NexTag from a notification message sent to MSN Hotmail?
- What type of browser do I need to use the secure server?
Why do I have trouble using NexTag with my AOL browser?
Unfortunately, the built-in AOL browser has some difficulties displaying parts of NexTag Exchange Network sites correctly. To fix this problem, we recommend installing and using a browser that is 100% JavaScript compatible, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator. These browsers are free and can be used by all AOL subscribers.
How can I get to NexTag from a notification message sent to MSN Hotmail?
Because of the way MSN Hotmail handles links from within an email message, NexTag users using Hotmail may not be able to link directly from a notification email to their NexTag account. The best way to solve this problem is to copy the entire link and paste it directly into your browser's address bar. Alternately, click the www.nextag.com link and log-onto the site manually.
What type of browser do I need to use the secure server?
The NexTag Exchange Network uses Verisign encryption technology to insure that your credit card and other information are transmitted in a secure environment. Verisign requires Netscape version 4.06 or higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.02 or higher (Macintosh) or 4.01 or higher (everyone else), for Macintosh upgrade their browser.
