Worked straight out of the box. Sound quality was excellent. Only SNAFu I encountered was when I tried to upgrade to the latest software version on the Linksys homepage. Which failed to work for no apparent reason. Removed that and reinstalled from the included CD and everything worked great. I was using it with a Linksys wr54g Router and related PCMCIA card had no issues.
