Deuter Kid Comfort III Child Carrier

5.0 15 $239.00 - $239.00
Redesigned with a new kickstand hinge and improved child seat height adjustment, the Deuter Kid Comfort III Child Carrier is one of the most advanced and adjustable child carriers available today. Deuter optimized the Kid Comfort III for ergonomic support and ventilation--that's essential for any parent who enjoys extended walks and outdoor outings with their toddler. The Deuter Kid Comfort III Child Carrier has an adjustable five-point safety harness that comfortably keeps children secure inside the backpack. Other top-of-the-line refinements include a child headrest with integrated zip-out sun roof/rain cover, detachable dribble pillow and breathable child seat cushions. The Deuter Kid Comfort III Child Carrier also hydration-system compatible, which is important for adults on sunny summer strolls. Deuter reminds parents that the maximum weight of child and gear for the Kid Comfort III Child Carrier should never exceed 48.5 lbs or 22 kg.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST!
"...We just purchased this new pack after owning a Kelty. This is one FABULOUS pack!
I love that it adjusts so easily for my short torso..
I am 5'2" and my husband is 5'11" and he loves the fit when he adjusts it for him as well...."

I did a lot of research on hiking child carriers and learned that a Deuter would be the best choice.
"...I've never used a hiking backpack before and I was a little worried of overall weight distribution. I have back issues and constantly pinch nerves/muscles but have had no problems with this pack.
My son also loves being in the pack and never complains during a walk.
He has fallen asleep and the chin pad worked great!..."

I just wanted to say thank you!
"...We did our research and decided that based on its specs, it was the one for us. We were never disappointed!
Miles apon miles of walking during our 21 days in Spain and our son loved it and we loved being free to take pictures.
No way this could be done with a stroller...."

The best one I found
"...I was comparing many packs in the stores before bougth it.
I used to have Kelry Kids for my (by now) 3-years old boy and loved it.
However, this Deuter beats it up...."

Very comfortable
"...The Deuter Kid Comfort III is a dream to carry. I think this is the most comfortable pack I've ever had on my back, bar none.
I provide daycare for my seven month old granddaughter and I love to hike and geocache during the week.
A child carrier is a must have item for me so I can get out and do the things I love during the week and take my granddaughter along for the ride...."

I love it!
"...I don't like my stroller very much...actually, I scream a lot in it. But whenever I get into my backpack, I am so happy!
I love to look around at everything and often have to laugh out loud because I'm having so much fun.
When all of that fun makes me sleepy, I just rest my head on my chin pillow and snooze away!..."

GREAT Pack
"...We had a cheep Kelty before this that was not very comfortable for my wife or I to carry. After doing research online we went to our local retailer to try on some packs.
This pack was great, My son loved it and my wife 5' could carry it and I 6' could also carry it.
My only complaint is that this pack doesn't have a large enough torso adjustment...."

I tried several packs before settling on this one, including models from Sherpani, Kelty, and REI.
"...It is extremely well engineered and constructed. The stand is very stable and feels safe.
Everything is easily adjustable for baby or adult, and I love the little details like the removable chin rest, the rear-view mirror, and of course the Deuter bear.
The head rest will be great for longer hikes and likewise, the soft tush cush seat seems much more comfortable than those with a suspended harness...."

We love this carrier and used it in the airport and the rainforests of Costa Rica.
"...
We love this carrier and used it in the airport and the rainforests of Costa Rica.
We initially purchased the Sherpani Rumba online because it looked like the best one, but I couldn't make it comfortable enough for myself at 5'3" and it seemed really bulky...."

I took my large 6-month-old to try on all the different child carriers, and this one is the best.
"...It probably would have been fine for a toddler, but we wanted something we could use now for my baby (we are done with the front carriers like baby bjorn; he's just too heavy). This Deuter III carrier is comfy for him at all times -- awake or asleep, and has tons of room to grow.
We have not gone any further than hiking 3 miles at a time, but he loves it, and it's comfy for the wearer too.
It has fabulous features that make the price more palatable...."

Great pack.
"...
love having the spot to put my water bladder, and now it keeps our girl happy too as she lives to grab the hose and take sips along the way.

I own a previous version of the Deuter Kid Comfort III (2009 model), and with the arrival of another baby girl we decided it was time to buy a second pack, so we researched the options.
"...I own a previous version of the Deuter Kid Comfort III (2009 model), and with the arrival of another baby girl we decided it was time to buy a second pack, so we researched the options.
I LOVE the 2009 KCIII - the manner in which the child sits leaves our daughter comfortable for hours.
We took a few smaller hikes to dial ourselves in, and had a remarkable experience each time...."
